Supervisor: Program Director

Purpose: Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Residential Coordinator is responsible for the daily, on-site management on the program.

Requirements: Possession of Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or possession of an Associate’s Degree or equivalent and three years of experience, including direct care and supervision. Valid driver’s license. Minimum age 18 years old.

Responsibilities: The Residential Coordinator is responsible for the following but not limited to the following specific responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train, and develop group home staff
  • Complete annual written evaluations of Residential Specialists
  • Coordinate staffing patterns in the Group Home
  • Maintain records for all consumers in the group home, including progress notes, Individual Treatment Plans, and all other record keeping required by the agency and DDD
  • Respond to crisis situations, and report them to the Program Director
  • Insure that each consumer obtains any needed medical, dental, psychological, or pharmaceutical intervention
  • Insure safety of consumers against fire, theft, physical/verbal abuse, and report incidents to Program Director
  • Maintain each consumer’s finances, including but not limited to personal needs allowance, earnings, banking
  • Review the formulation of treatment plans
  • Establish/maintain working relationships with families, guardians, case managers, social workers, and agencies/institutions to coordinate service delivery to consumers
  • Recommended personnel actions to the Program Director
  • Oversee the maintenance of facilities according to the DDD and Equal Partners standards
  • Assist in planning program budget and statistics
  • Be available to consumers and staff on a 24-hour basis during emergencies
  • Monitors compliance with DDD guidelines for medication administration and documentation
  • Assists and guides subordinates with development and implementation of the IHP
  • Administers medication, records the administration of medication in accordance with DDD guidelines, review medication procedures of the site and successfully completes medication administration training as provided by the Division of Developmental Disabilities
  • Assure that each Consumer is free from physical or mental abuse
